The architecture of Oasis Village is in Mediterranean style with individual buildings each containing between 2 and 6 apartments. The buildings are located among well maintained attractive landscaped gardens full of Mediterranean trees and shrubs.
The area is completely pedestrianised and the buildings are separated by attractive winding pathways. Our apartment is under a minutes' walk from the car park.
The area is one of the sunniest in France with over 300 days of sunshine making Oasis Village ideal for families wishing to practice naturism. The beach is under a minutes’ walk from the apartment as also is the nearest swimming pool. However there are also many other interesting places to visit in the area.
Activities for Children
There are many activities for children organised during the summer months including swimming lessons, painting, modeling and many other activities. Also, close to Oasis Village is the Leucate Adventure Park, Aqualand with its giant water slides and also Kid's Park.
Water Sports
If you enjoy practicing water sports, Oasis village, has the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the Leucate salt water lagoon on the other. As a result this is the perfect place for all kinds of water sports such as wind surfing, kite surfing, yachting, fishing and diving. Boat hire is possible in Port Leucate just 10 minutes away by car.
Night Life
In the summer, there are frequent disco and dancing evenings as well as concerts organised at one of the restaurants or in the small commercial centre. There is a casino 15 minutes drive away which also has a good restaurant.

The Narbonne Natural Regional Park which covers 80,000 hectares and includes over 300km of walking tracks.
There are also many other interesting walks in the area and we leave a walking guide for you to use.
If you are a golfer, there is a superb golf course around 30 minutes away at Saint Cyprien. There are actually two courses. 18 holes around the lagoon and 9 holes in a wooded area.
The Sigean African Reserve just 25 km from Oasis Village.
Many places of historical interest, including forts, abbeys and castles as well as the fortified city of Carcasonne.
There are several underground caves such as the giant cavern of Cabrepine, sometimes a welcome change from the heat in midsummer.
There are many restaurants and wine producers in the area. Nearby is the oyster production centre close to Oasis Village where you can buy oysters direct from the producers or sample them on the spot with a glass of white wine.
If you enjoy walks in the mountains, the Pyrenees can be seen from Oasis Village. It is easy to organise a day trip to the Pyrenees to go walking in the mountains and see close at hand the lovely mountain scenery.
The Spanish border is under an hour away if you are interested to purchase Spanish products and also beer and spirits at a good price.
